Powerful Exercise to get Thru Difficult Times

Healing yourself is an everyday practice however, this one activity can help you start to release what has kept you bound and step into the new year more free. It will also help you capitalize on the powerful December 26 New Moon Eclipse. 

Let’s get into it. It’s going to be a powerful visualization that I want you to also reflect on via your journal after you are all done. 

  1. Find a quiet and private space all to yourself where you will not be disturbed. Heck… if you have to hide in a bathroom, so be it.

  2. Spend at least one minute taking deep healing breaths- 4 seconds in, hold for 4 seconds, then 4 seconds out. If you cannot do that, then pick an interval that works for you. The 4 second option has been shown to be the most optimal though and I know you are an overachiever *wink*

  3. What person might you need to forgive to walk into the next decade with a lighter heart? Remember, a lot of times that forgiveness may even need to start with you healing yourself.  Want you to picture a bridge with a staircase on either side. On one side is the person you want to forgive, on the other is you in the now…. So if you want to forgive yourself, the person walking up the staircase would be the you of the past.

  4.  You and the person that you chose are going to walk across the bridge from opposite ends and meet in the middle and once you meet I want you to pass the forgiveness onto the person from the you now to the you of the past or the person from the past you want to forgive. When I first did this many years ago, I passed a rose quartz to myself. I was wanting to forgive myself for the a time in my life where I was on the right track but I was beating myself up because my vision and my timeline were not happening like I wanted it to and as fast as I wanted it to.

  5. When you pass this symbol of healing, talk to them. Let them know that you forgive them and say whatever else you want to say or need to say in that moment. Spend time there on the bridge with the person until you feel like the forgiving moment is complete then you can part ways.

It is a simple and powerful exercise that I thought wouldn’t bring up what it did. You should make sure that you spend some time journaling about what came up so that you can process what happened. You may not be able to do it in that moment but if you can, do it while the situation is still fresh. This was a profound exercise I was able to do and it had a powerful impact on me and I know it will do the same for you. Feel free to share how you like it.

Tips on How to Stay Centered During the Holiday

For some, the holidays are a time of joy and sharing time with those that you care about the most. For others though, as I spoke about last week, this can be a time that triggers pain and feelings of stress and even depression. When you have to face obstacles such as these or are dealing with challenges in a time where everyone is celebrating around you, I would like to leave you with a round-up of resources that I have published throughout the year to help you stay centered during this holiday season.

  • Lean into your spiritual practice- One of the things that I love most about spirituality is that, by definition, you are living your life for something much greater than the mundane. What this means is that there is more to life that what you are experiencing right now. When you look at the span of your life and the bigger purpose for your life, then from a spiritual perspective, you start to realize that while there may be challenges and difficulties in life, it does not have to define your WHOLE life and staying grounded in this spiritual point of view can keep you moving forward on your middle path, focused…. Instead of letting the ups and downs of life control you moment to moment. I have two free resources that can help you out with this:

  • Disconnect from the hype- There is nothing forcing you to participate in the traditional holiday celebrations. You must recognize that part of letting outside circumstances impact you is your allowance of unhealthy or maligned people and situations in your life. No is a full sentence and you having a right to assert healthy boundaries regardless of what others may think or say about your decisions. I have chosen to say no to many circumstances in order to stay true to myself and keep my sanity. As an alternative, I have chosen, in those times, to develop a celebration of myself and pour into myself… especially if I have felt depleted, frustrated, or stressed… and I never feel guilty for doing so. If setting healthy boundaries is a struggle for you, this next resource should help you with this.

  • Plan your comeback- One of the most motivating things for me when I am experiencing blocks and challenges is to start planning my future. I try not to dwell on what has happened in the past and where I am now. I think about the possibilities and my future. For this to work, you must accept that you have power over your future and take back the reigns of your life. Even if you don’t believe me…. Let’s play a game… pretend… WHAT IF I WAS RIGHT? If I was, then focusing on your goals for 2020 may be a great way to spend your time this holiday season. I have information on the way I set goals so that I crush them every year. There you have it. Three powerful tools that you can use to get through the holiday season. Use it as a time to get on track and stay on track and as you work through these tools, they will help you stay centered and get through the season with joy and celebration, even if it’s self-joy and self-celebration.

Full Moon in Gemini December 2019- The last full moon of the decade

It goes down every week in my FB group where I drop lessons and spiritual gems for those of you that are sick of the status quo and want to start living a life aligned with what you feel in you heart so if you aren’t a part of the group, you are missing out.

Although I haven’t done a horoscope in a long time, I felt like I had to do one but I also explained why I haven’t been doing them lately. So since I have so much to share…. let’s get into what’s going down with the energies of the full moon in gemini that occurred around 912pm PST on Dec 11th.


There seems to be strong urges, feelings, and emotions that can be brought up that are linked to self worth and your sense of value. You may feel strongly attracted to thing as you try to find your sense of belonging in the world thru other people and things instead of looking inward for that thing that is going to fuel your worth.

Your mind is ready to move on and ready for more but your soul and your instinct is stuck in a comfort zone. Breaking free of bad habits may be highlighted because you know you need to free yourself of what binds you and mature and grow more.

One of your opportunities lies in seeing this truth and accepting this so as much as your darkside wants to be attracted to the things that have an emotional attraction, where you could benefit is from getting your head out of the sand and looking at the facts before you and moving forward from what you actually see in front of your eyes. If you are feeling vulnerable and have supportive people around you to help you, these people will be your solace and allow you the space to go through your shit. There is a lot of power in putting your hopes and dreams on a temporary shelf and concentrating not on the vision, but on the details and what you truly need to change and the actual work that you need to do in order to manifest your dreams.

There is powerful manifestation energy available to you so inspired action is supported as you start to see sparks as to what could be for you if you live a life congruent with your heart. If you haven’t honored yourself… it’s like you can step into a totally new persona if you are hoping to grow, mature, heal from your mistakes, and reinvent yourself.

This moon also has an heir of playfulness attached to it. While it is telling you that it is go time, it is wanting you to have fun in the process because the journey is not a quick plane ride, it’s more like a cross country road trip. There is much work to do and so much to learn to reach the pentultimate. You must stay playful, curious, and open but also know that you are building things that are more long-term, legacies, new purpose… these all show that you are able to move forward in a more powerful way.

As you can see, the things that I am sharing with you seem to be complete opposites of each other which could cause emotional rollercoasters and I find this interesting because I feel like it requires you to keep it real while at the same time being totally delusional and dreaming big at the same time… How the fuck are you going to do that at the same time? LOL.

You are really sensitive right now so you may feel like you are going a little crazy and needing help and guidance to get grounded. This is a great time to tap into a coach or mentor or trusted friend and if you are feeling OK, you may be called on as the person that other people will be leaning on.

This full moon energy can have you compromising yourself and doing things that you normally wouldn’t do because you are failing to see the truth, either intentionally or unintentionally. Be slow to act if the consequences are high but be fast to act if all signs are pointing you in the right direction. The action that I’m talking about is not a plunge though… it’s like taking the first step.

Family issues could come up. So could mindset issues. Triggers will force you into action. What you are being called to do is release your ego and your instinctual urges and passions through more deep healing work and I see, at the same time, being able to strategically act on your dreams, purge, refresh, and systematically and methodically move forward with a greater sense of purpose. Trust your gut and trusted advisors otherwise the company that you keep, the people you let in…. they may not be YOUR people.

You may have felt stuck in a rut when it comes to pushing your manifestations and relationships forward but I think that if you keep it up and don’t give up you will see gradual progress or at least feel strong enough to finally see the truth about something to finally release what is getting in the way of you living in your truth… your hopes… your dreams. Please don’t give up because by spring, and especially the summer, there is so much on offer depending on what you have been doing previously and now. The changes and transformations that you are making are built to last and take you to the next level. Hiding and going into your shell are no bueno! Refusing to break free… no bueno. Going hard and getting impatient… no bueno (hello Cali…. that Spanish is rubbing off on me… LOL).

Commitment. Focus. Realignment. Strategy. Purpose. Patience. These things are all good along with work, action, and a strong manifestation practice are all things that will support your next level of growth.

I love this moon for home, family, security, home businesses, how you honor and respect your body, and your coins. Your intuition is going to help you see the truth and tap into anything you may have felt was murky or unclear. Any “loss” is making a way for new and in order to manifest greatness you must learn to trust what you are worth and the dreams that were put on your heart… You can triumph!

How to Connect to Joy

As we start to move forward out of some of the energies of the retrograde season, I am talking the heavy hitters… Pluto and Saturn… not Mercury that is just coming out of retrograde… times that I could see being challenging and times that could feel limiting… situations that I knew would feel difficult but would be full of reward if you stuck with them-- I hope that you are starting to feel a little lighter and a little more balanced. Especially if you have been working really hard to live a more evolved and spiritual life with more purpose and meaning.

Even though things can begin to move forward and in a possibly more uplifting direction, you may still find it hard to reclaim your joy so I wanted to leave you with a powerful exercise that you could incorporate into your practice to help you reclaim your joy.

This is a powerful technique that you can integrate when you feel disconnected from your inner peace and happiness seems simple but is very powerful. You will have to take a time out from the noise and the busy energy of the day to day because oftentimes that is the number one thing that leaves us disconnected from who we are. Once you do that, I want you to take some time to reflect on what brings you joy and just start listing those things out. You can do this physically or mentally. It doesn’t matter. Don’t look for the complex things in life, especially when the joy is attached to something you have no control over, like how other people or situations make you feel joy. Think about the simple things. What food do you like? What is your favorite activity to do? We are going to go deeper, but let’s pause for a moment. What is really stopping you from doing the things that pop up other than the choice that you are making to not prioritize your contentment? 

If this seems too difficult to do, think about your life like a movie.

Rewind that movie back to your childhood and as if you were watching your life on a screen and mentally pause the “movie” on the parts of your childhood that brought you joy. Sometimes just doing this alone reconnects you to your happy place, but sometimes as adults, we feel like we can’t bring those activities back into our life again. Did you like to pretend? Maybe you can act out a scene of a movie when no one is looking, or play a game in your mind and spend the day acting like your mentor or higher self. Maybe you liked to paint, or sing, or get lost in a book. Joy can be as simple as reconnecting with those things. 

One thing that can keep the momentum going once you are able to tap into your joy is to devote yourself to your spiritual practice. As you incorporate more mindfulness and more inner connection, you become more aligned with who you are, your values, and your purpose. Doing so pulls you out of the mundane challenges that may throw you off balance because you are able to recognize a bigger vision and purpose for your life. So, I will leave you with that. You have the power and the choice to take action and align with the life that you want to live and part of what makes that action easier is your long term ability to tap into your faith and inner wisdom for strength, support, and ultimately… contentment and joy.
